“Round is definitely a great shape. I have always worked and played with this format.” — Kenny Scharf

Kenny Scharf created his first tondo paintings in the 1980s. In 2019 he painted “LOOKY” for his landmark immersive Universalis exhibition at La Nave Salinas, Ibiza.

The round form makes the screenprint look like a bubble hung on the wall. It also reminds the shape of an emoji to highlight emotions and express a special happy mood.

This screenprint has been produced to accompany our upcoming publication “MOODZ” by the American artist Kenny Scharf.
