Production Manager - PARIS - FRANCE

Since 2004, JRP|Editions (formerly JRP|Ringier, 2004–2018) has established itself as one of the leading international and independent publishers of contemporary art, partnering with artists, museums, galleries, and private institutions worldwide. We have built up a catalogue of more than 500 titles currently in active distribution (in English, German, and French) in the contemporary art field.

In 2019, JRP|Editions launched a brand-new website to reflect its new impetus and its Multiples department, which produces limited editions such as lithographs, screen prints, sculptures, mirrors, and bronzes.

In order to support our fast-growing business, we are looking for a hardworking team player to manage and scale up production operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Owning the product development process: coordinating, managing relationships, foreseeing and resolving any issues with artists studios, art printers and production houses, as well as our internal teams, to ensure each edition is launched with success.
  • Building up a strong production network: sourcing the best-in-class art printers, material suppliers and production houses, as well as building strong and trusted partnerships with them and negotiating rates for all materials necessary to the production of high-quality art works.
  • Driving quality and efficiency in our warehouse: collaborating with the on-site team to ensure our warehouse operations are running flawlessly and set up to scale.
  • Reporting: creating and distributing reports relevant to inventory management and production development.

Required profile

 

  • Sound knowledge of production processes.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to meet constant-changing tight deadlines for multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment where issues occur unexpectedly.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.

Product designer & developer - PARIS - FRANCE

In order to support our growing development, we are looking for a product designer to help us develop our brand image and expand our product catalogue.

 

Missions

 

Product design

  • Conceive designs to ideate the product, especially for sculpture and 3D projects.
  • Create a design identity for each product to take projects from idea to production.
  • Visual design skills with proficiency in typography, desktop/mobile UI, color, layout, iconography and aesthetic presentation to enhance the product through pictures and/or short videos.
  • Retouch pictures taken (cropping, brightness, ranking…) to offer the product’s best visual aspect.
  • Design proposals for each product (banners, Instagram visuals) adapted to communication media, to promote it. 

 

Product development & management

  • Work on physical packaging and image branding for each product.
  • Oversee product launches, development, testing, and P&L in order to optimize what we offer to our customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers.
  • Look for new suppliers to work with, to introduce and market new products.
  • Follow-up timetables on each project by keeping an up-to-date planning and report of production and release.

 

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in design.
  • Experience of translating 2D images into 3D designs.
  • Creative and technical, you are passionate about web evolution and like to share your technical and artistic vision.
  • You are proactive and like to offer web-oriented graphic solutions.
  • Knowledge of tools like 3D Max, SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, VRay, SketchUp.
  • Strong planning, project management, and organization skills with the ability to meet deadlines and deliverables for multiple projects.
  • Fluent in both French and English.
  • Interest in contemporary art and creative culture.

Artist Liaison - New-York - UNITED STATES

Key Missions

 

  • Contributing to JRP|Editions’ artists and curatorial strategy
  • Identifying and approaching new artists
  • Developing and managing relationships with galeries, public institutions and external curators
  • Promoting JRP|Editions within the art scene and artist community – visiting artists and their studios, and representing our brand while participating in art events across the globe
  • Managing and supporting represented artists
  • Organizing and attending production meetings, signing, studio visits and conference calls
  • Facilitating artists’ productions, setting up and monitoring production budget and timeline
  • Collaborating with artists and their studios to help drive projects forwards from the early stages of a positive response to work together into a fully scoped project
  • Building strong partnerships lasting in the long run: fostering artist relationships with regular exchange and actively proposing new creative ideas leading to repeat collaborations
  • Working closely with our operations & sales teams, ensuring flawless and clear communication of project and artwork details Supervising the artist product launch
  • Overseeing and reviewing artist account

Required profile

 

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and problem-solving and skills
  • Ability to work fast and accurately, with an eye for detail
  • Exceptional organizational skills: you are a highly competent multitasker who thrives coordinating multiple projects and conversations simultaneously, all moving at moving at different speeds, to stay one step ahead. You work better in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, and ideally in French. Any other foreign languages are a welcomed plus.

Lifestyle Project Coordinator - PARIS - FRANCE

In Fall 2019, JRP|Editions launched a brand-new website to reflect its new impetus and its Multiples’s department, which produces limited editions such as lithography, screen print, sculptures, mirror, and bronze.

In order to support our growing development, we are looking for a Lifestyle Project Coordinator to join our team, who will participate in the launch of our Lifestyle department with new products and brands’ collaborations and who will expand the Merchandise portfolio.

 

Key Missions

 

Brand Collaboration:

  • Establish and manage relationships across brand partners to create meaningful, impactful and original activations.
  • Nurture excellent relationships with brands, acting as an ambassador and representative of JRP Editions.
  • Initiate and develop a creative approach to partnership management with the aim of adding incremental value
  • Communicate partner needs and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure programs are developed and delivered on time and in budget

Product Development:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of products’ timeline and be responsible for monitoring product lifecycle for the on-schedule realization of each of them.
  • Build up a strong production network: source the best-in-class suppliers and production houses, as well as build strong and trusted partnerships with them and negotiate rates for all materials necessary to the production of high-quality products.
  • Proactively source new suppliers to work with and to meet product expectations
  • Visit producers’ factories and conduct online research on behalf of the company to inspire future designs, innovations and developments.
  • Oversee product research, development, sampling, launches, and P&Ls in order to optimize what we offer to our customers.
  • Lead and monitor the quality management process and reporting to identify cause of quality problems and implement immediate prevention as well as continuous improvements and enhancements.

Required profile

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in textile field and further education in marketing or supply chain.
  • Experience and excellent knowledge of technical fabrics and garments.
  • A very good sense for apparel market and consumer trends as well as solid business management understanding and analytical skills.
  • Strong planning, project management and organization skills with the ability to meet deadlines and deliverables for multiple projects.
  • Fluent in English and in French.
  • Interest in fashion, art and creative culture.
