Binge Watcher, Cherry Picker and Dirty Fingers are three silkscreened editions by artist Kim Gordon based on original pieces from her iconic Word Paintings body of work. Originally painted onto paper with a visceral bleeding drip effect, these poetic text pieces started to figure in her ongoing series entitled the ‘Noise Paintings’ (since the 2000s) which is paying homage to obscure experimental bands. As a founding member of the experimental rock group Sonic Youth, her experiences both as a musician and a working artist can be seen in these works. These new paintings were made during the pandemic, some being based on job descriptions.
