Art and fashion
Four St. Gallen museums (Museum of the Arts, Museum of Textiles, Museum of History and Museum for Contemporary Arts) have joined forces in autumn 2006 to broach the issue of the crossover between art and fashion by organizing startling exhibitions.
About 70 photographers, fashion designers and artists, like Monica Bonvicini, Daniele Buetti, Sylvie Fleury, Steven Klein, Manon, Yoko Ono, Pipilotti Rist and Erwin Wurm, were invited to contribute.
Edited by the curator and journalist Christoph Doswald, this title accompanies the exhibitions, not only releflecting on the recent state of the discourse, but also giving detailed information about the theoretical background of the debate, starting with Mohamed and Rabelais!
With contributions by Peter Gross, Barbara Vinken, Diedrich Diederichsen and Michelle Nicol, among others.
