Founded in 1841 by the painter and sponsor Marc-Louis Arlaud, the Musée cantonal des beaux-arts (MCBA) is an art museum established in the capital of the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. It preserves nearly 11,000 works and showcases its collections of ancient and contemporary art through monographic and thematic exhibitions, as well as through loans to Swiss and international museums.
