Twenty works by Isabelle Cornaro, all unique, each a different gathering of small items, trinkets, or personal effects, upon the dusk of a painted textile. The objects Cornaro works with are marked by opacity; the significations that may be attached to them are all the more present, and strongly felt. A key, a chain, a toy, all become fascinating and curious phenomena made of light, color, shine—that is to say, attraction, want, power.

In the series Golden Memories another “motion” is at stake, as the coloured backgrounds repeat the chance patterns that appear upon the floors of the artist’s studio, when she applies spray paint on sculptures or props.
