A reprint of the famous artist’s books
The book is the republication of “23 Pieces” (1968-1969) and “24 Pieces” (1970), and the first publication of the “25 Pieces” (whose lay-out and content were decided by the artist in 1971).
Reproducing the original material, the book presents itself as a single volume including the three projects and a brochure with two introductory texts (by Liam Gillick and Christophe Cherix).
These famous two books by Ruppersberg were becoming impossible to find. Their republication, accompanied by the release of the third volume, offers an invaluable occasion to measure the importance of these works in the history of artists’ books as well as in the West-Coast development of Conceptual art.
