Performances in public space
Late shift is a publication about a sereal of art-events in the Giessereihalle Puls 5 in Zurich, curated by Claudia Spinelli und Gianni Jetzer. The artists Roman Singner, Steiner/Lenzlinger, Daniele Buetti and Knowbotic Research were invited to create a paradigmatic location of contemporary life at the Giessereihalle by interpreting the space from different artistic perspectives with temporary installations and artistic interventions.
The name Late Shift (Spätschicht) on the one hand refers to the former employees of the foundry who worked during the night but also alludes to shifts within society and technology because of increasingly rapid developments and changes.
Awarded in the competition “The most beautiful Swiss books 2006.”
