First publication in French of a selection of essays

The publication brings together, translated into French for the first time, the American artist’s most important essays, as well as numerous texts describing his practice and ideas about performance, photography, and architecture. With an introduction by Catherine Quéloz.

Vito Acconci (*1940) is an artist and writer based in New York. His multi-disciplinary work has taken the form of poetry, performance, film, video, sound, installation, sculpture, and, with the creation of the Acconci Studio, architecture and design. The artist’s complete writings are to be published by MIT Press, and several retrospective exhibitions have recently been devoted to his work.

Co-published with Les Presses du réel, Dijon.
